| I thought I would share this with you all, on the day of my son Beau-Keith's 2nd Birthday. Yesterday I picked up my father from the airport and so today we all piled into the car me squished in the back seat in between both carseats and drove for Perth Zoo. The weather was not good but we went any way and BK walked most of the way until he chucked a paddy out side the monkey inclosure making the monkey's hiss at him. Most of the enclosures were closed due to maintenance and because of the wet weather most of the Animals were hiding, but we still got to see the Elephants, Geraffs, Zebras, Galapacos Turtles, Orangatangs, and as we walked into the Kangeroo part they were just sitting willy nilly either side of the path which was a shock as everything else was closed in an enclosure. Any way I think he enjoyed it especially the suspension bridge that I swayed from side to side while he giggled away. The high light for me was the environmental house which had every thing from Compost to electricity saving devices. Well better go the day has not finished yet and we have to prepare for his party on Sunday, which will be interesting as we will be having a lot of people and children over and it looks like rain...small house lots of people | |

| Well, I hope the party was good, despite the overcrowding. My place can't hold many people, so I know where you are coming from. What is chucking a paddy. I know what chucking is but not so sure about a paddy??? | |

| I don't know where it comes from but it means for a child to chuck a tantrum. I prayed to the Goddess for her to send the rain to my friend in QLD who needs it more then us, and you know what that night they had huge storms and filled their rain water tanks so I am pleased. The weather also cleared for us so it was held outside and everyone turned up. It was a huge success, although our back fence was still down from when it fell three months ago...lol You know who turned up yesterday but the guy to fix the fence so we now have color bond fencing Yey! (Steel sheets instead of concrete, looks heaps better and is more sturdier.) | |

| Ahhh, tantrums. Never a fun time and I do remember those from my children's earlier days, esp. my daughter. My sympathies, to be sure. About steel vs concrete, wouldn't concrete be better in that it doesn't rust? In my part of the world, the people responsible for the roads and such replace a lot of steel barriers with concrete, although that may be about cost not quality. | |

| It has a gab underneath it which we will brick up, but we have such strong wind here that every winter part of the concrete fence falls down. Yes Tantrums are lovely things, it is all part a parcal with the two year old package...lol | |
